We expect to be fully operating in the whole of the premises by early September but will take a little longer to decide on the final layout of the shop and new stock items and services. A full range of stationery items will be available from this time. We are very grateful to The Co-op for donating the new shelving units and fitting them for us free of charge.

Our staffing plans have been decided and we are pleased that our manager Paul Faulkner will continue but now in a full-time capacity. This should allow him the time to fully take on management of all of the shop activities and developments.

Bath & North East Somerset Council will consider adopting Mill Lane, on the A4, near Bath, as its preferred option for a Park and Ride site east of the city. If agreed, the plan will replace the current proposal for a Park and Ride site at Lambridge.

Research into a number of possible Park and Ride sites on the east of Bath was undertaken. The review of these sites included travel times, access, land ownership, current land usage, and physical constraints. On the basis of the review it is recommending that Mill Lane become the preferred option for a Park and Ride to the east of Bath.
